Job Summary
We’re looking to hire a hard-working Commercial Cleaner/Janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our client buildings. You’ll be responsible for all cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms, dusting tops of desks, and wiping baseboards and windowsills, in addition to maintenance tasks such as emptying trash and replacing trash can liners (bags). The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the buildings
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
- Clean windows/windowsills, and supply restrooms on a regular basis
- Wipe up spills and other hazards with microfiber cloths
- Secure the building by locking doors and/or arming the alarm system once cleaning is complete
- Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the Operations Manager of any incidents/discrepancies
Qualifications
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in Commercial janitorial services, desired
- Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
- Excellent stamina and physical health
- Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
